Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and assist teachers to provide structured fun, learning activities and active play, with young children
- Assist and perform chef responsibilities, as needed, with daily menu, dietary restrictions and portion control standards
- Observe all Primrose, state and regulatory agency guidelines for the safety, health and care of children
- Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
Desired skills and experience:
- Meet basic requirements of local child care and food service regulatory agencies
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred or pursuing Early Childhood Education certification or degree
- Ability to relate positively to young children and staff is essential
- Previous experience in quantity food preparation (serving 100+ snacks, meals daily) is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Compensation: $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
