Preschool Director Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and evaluate staff performance, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and manage a budget for the preschool and ensure financial security.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and other relevant laws.
- Develop and maintain relationships with parents and provide ongoing communication about their children’s progress.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff members.
- Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness of the preschool, and in evening and weekend Open House events.
Preschool Director Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- At least five years of Director experience working in a preschool setting.
- Knowledge of current early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
