Director of Admissions and Enrollment

Are you a strategic thinker and a people-person? Do you thrive in dynamic environments, love connecting with families, and want to help shape the future of a vibrant school community? If that sounds like you, we can’t wait to meet you!

Primrose School of Wilmington is looking for a Director of Admissions and Enrollment to join our leadership team. In this key role, you’ll lead the charge in attracting, enrolling, and retaining a diverse and thriving student body—one that reflects and amplifies our mission and values.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the welcoming face of Primrose, leading prospective families through an engaging admissions journey—from first inquiry to their first day and beyond.
  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking enrollment strategy to support the school’s long-term goals.
  • Partner with the Regional Director and Executive Director to align admissions goals with our mission and academic vision.
  • Retain current families through connection, communication, and community engagement.
  • Manage the school roll up, wait list, and the student's matriculation through their time at Primrose.
  • Promote the school’s story and value through thoughtful marketing and outreach.
  • Represent Primrose at events both on and off campus—Open Houses, info nights, preschool visits, and more.
  • Work closely with teachers to truly understand the classroom experience and enhance the admissions narrative.
  • Build strong relationships with families, staff, and community partners alike.
What You Bring:

  • 2 years of experience in education, preferably in a leadership or admissions role
  • A strategic mindset with hands-on skills in enrollment planning, marketing, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience leading teams and engaging volunteers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Cultural competency and a collaborative, flexible, growth-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and executive functioning skills (you love a good system!)
  • A passion for early childhood education
We’re looking for someone who sees the bigger picture but also loves the day-to-day moments—whether it’s greeting a new family on a tour, brainstorming an outreach idea, or celebrating a child’s first day.

If you're excited to help grow something meaningful and be part of purpose-driven community, let’s talk!
