Core Responsibilities:
- Nurture a child's first five years by preparing nutritious and delicious snacks and lunch daily
- Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Prepare and follow weekly menus prepared in collaboration with the Director
- Deliver snacks and meals to 14 classrooms - be prepared to be greeted enthusiastically by the students!
- Assist with ordering food, including calculating amounts needed and inventory
Qualifications
- Meets all state and town requirements for school food service professional
- Meticulous attention to detail, with particular attention to allergies
- Organized, with ability to plan ahead
- Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management
- Strong skills in inventory management and control
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food safety
Salary Range: Starting at $21 per hour, based on experience
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM, occasional evening staff meeting (subject to change)
