Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily functions of the Pre-K classroom

  • Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children

  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans provided through our Balanced Learning® curriculum

  • Maintain a well-kept, engaging classroom that fosters exploration, creativity, and confidence

  • Provide consistent expectations and positive recognition for children’s growth and behavior

  • Ensure compliance with Bright from the Start (BFTS), state, and national regulations

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build a strong, supportive community

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities

  • Assist with classroom upkeep and other duties as needed

Qualifications 

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must pass a comprehensive background check (fingerprinting required)

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)

  • One of the following educational credentials:

    • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

    • Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education

    • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Passion for nurturing and educating young children

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. (including infants, if applicable)

Salary Range:

16.00- 18.00

Shift Schedule:

7:45am- 4:45pm

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
