POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Primrose School Director ready to operate a campus as an on-site Local Franchise Owner & School Operator.
This is not a traditional director role. This position is designed for a seasoned Primrose leader with strong business acumen who understands the Primrose operating model and is ready to assume full accountability for financial performance, enrollment growth, compliance, team culture, and delivery of the Primrose mission.
The selected leader will serve as the senior onsite executive and operate the school with a true ownership mindset.
Based on performance and long-term leadership success, 5–10% school equity will be
awarded.
Relocation required.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Local Franchise Owner & School Operator is responsible for:
• Full P&L accountability and financial stewardship
• Enrollment growth and retention
• Operational excellence and compliance
• Building and maintaining a vibrant, positive school culture
• Strengthening trust and connection with families
• Leading ongoing parent and staff engagement events
• Upholding Primrose values and consistently delivering the Primrose WOW experience
This leader will directly oversee a leadership team consisting of:
• Education Coach
• Admissions Advisor
• Administrative / Assistant Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Business & Financial Leadership
• Manage full campus P&L performance
• Execute annual operating plan and enrollment strategy
• Optimize staffing model for both quality and margin
• Oversee tuition implementation and collections
• Control expenses while maintaining high standards
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Operational & Compliance Excellence
• Ensure 100% adherence to state licensing and Primrose standards
• Maintain classroom ratios and safety at all times
• Oversee scheduling, facilities, and campus operations
• Lead incident management and risk mitigation
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Leadership & Culture Development
• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing teachers
• Build a positive, high-accountability, service-oriented culture
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching
• Develop future internal leaders
• Maintain strong staff engagement and morale
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Enrollment & Family Experience
• Lead tours and support strong conversion rates
• Build authentic relationships with families
• Host ongoing parent engagement and community events
• Resolve concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Deliver a consistent, exceptional Primrose experience
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Prior experience as a Primrose School Director (required)
• Proven success operating within the Primrose system
• Strong financial and business acumen
• Experience managing enrollment growth and retention
• Demonstrated leadership stability and team-building ability
• Entrepreneurial mindset with long-term commitment
• Willingness to relocate
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Education, Management, or related field)
• Meets state Director credential requirements
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Pass all required background checks
• Strong knowledge of Primrose standards and licensing regulations
COMPENSATION & EQUITY STRUCTURE
• Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000 (DOE)
• Equity Opportunity: 5–10% ownership stake awarded based on performance and tenure
